Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP)
ACP sheets consist of two thin layers of aluminum enclosing a non-aluminum core, providing a lightweight yet durable structure. They are renowned for their flexibility, allowing for easy molding into various shapes, making them suitable for curved or angular designs. Available in thicknesses ranging from 2mm to 6mm, ACPs are cost-effective and widely used in commercial applications. However, their metallic surface may be prone to fading over time, especially in harsh weather conditions.
High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) Sheets
HPL sheets are crafted by compressing multiple layers of resin-impregnated kraft paper under high pressure, resulting in a dense, durable surface. Typically thicker than ACPs, HPL sheets offer superior resistance to scratches, fire, and chemicals. They maintain their aesthetic appeal longer due to excellent UV stability and color retention. However, HPL sheets are less flexible and cannot be molded into complex shapes, making them more suitable for flat or straight surfaces.
